The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that older drivers are more likely than younger drivers to be involved in a car accident. The agency notes these drivers are also more likely to be seriously hurt. Many families face the difficult task of deciding when a loved one should stop driving.

Aging experts say most older drivers do not have a plan for when they can no longer drive. They describe having this plan as critical. The decision often brings an emotional toll for families. Some viewers of recent investigative coverage noted that offering a roadmap for this conversation helps families manage the situation.

In a separate story, homeowners outside Atlanta report a costly issue with their homes. They blame one of the nation's biggest home builders for selling houses with defective plumbing. The pipes began leaking about four years after the owners moved in. More than a dozen homeowners are affected by these repeated leaks.

In a lighter report, a local attorney used billboards to share motivational messages. Sam Aguiar has practiced personal injury law since 2008. He started placing billboards around town in December 2024. Aguiar said, “It’s a tough field, but it’s a rewarding field.” He has installed 60 billboards so far.

Another report highlighted a family tradition at Oak Lawn Hospital. Sabrina and Brenden Miller walk through the hospital doors with 17 bags full of comfort items. They make this delivery each year on their son’s birthday. Nurses in the birth center receive the bags. These items eventually go to mothers of stillborn children.
