Two Alaska businesses received the 2026 Torch Award for Ethics from the Better Business Bureau Great West + Pacific and the BBB Foundation. The awards recognized superior leadership character, workplace culture, customer support, and community impact. Tyler Andrew, president and CEO of BBB Great West + Pacific, stated that the winners demonstrate ethical leadership and a commitment to trust and integrity.
Alaska Sleep Clinic in Anchorage won the award in the medium-sized business category. The clinic was established in 2002 and previously served as a finalist for the Torch Award in 2022. It provides diagnosis and treatment for sleep disorders through sleep studies, breathing therapy, telehealth, and personalized care. The veteran-owned clinic expanded its operations to include offices in Wasilla, Fairbanks, and Soldotna. In 2022, Alaska Sleep Clinic also received the Bill Bivins Small Business of the Year Award from the Alaska Chamber.
Alaska Premier Group won the award in the small business category. The woman-owned company was established in Wasilla in 2016. It provides residential, commercial, and land real estate services, including buyer and seller representation, relocation assistance, and consulting. The firm emphasizes education, transparency, and ethical guidance to help clients make informed decisions.
Andrew noted that the winners share a commitment to doing right by the people they serve. He expressed pride in recognizing the example they set and the positive impact they are making in their communities and across the marketplace. The Torch Award is considered the most prestigious honor the BBB Foundation bestows on businesses in the Great West and Pacific eight-state service area.
The winners were announced during a multi-location virtual ceremony held on October 29. Alaska Sleep Clinic continues to emphasize compassionate and transparent service while expanding access to sleep health education. Alaska Premier Group focuses on building lasting relationships in the communities it serves through informed real estate decisions.
The selection process evaluated businesses for their ethical standards and community presence. Both winners were selected from the BBB Great West + Pacific region. The awards ceremony highlighted the specific contributions of each firm to their local markets.
Alaska Sleep Clinic serves communities across Alaska with its expanded network of clinics. Alaska Premier Group operates out of Wasilla, serving clients in residential, commercial, and land sectors.
