Gabby Williams poured in 30 points and the Golden State Valkyries won the WNBA championship Saturday night, topping the Atlanta Dream 68-63 in Game 7 at Chase Center. The title comes in the franchise's second season.

Williams scored her team's final 11 points of the third quarter and added 13 rebounds and two blocks. Jordin Canada had 18 points for Atlanta. Allisha Gray scored 16 and Angel Reese posted eight points and 12 rebounds.

Gray hit two free throws with 11 seconds left, then Atlanta forced a jump ball between Gray and Williams. Veronica Burton grabbed it and made two foul shots with 5.1 seconds on the clock. Rhyne Howard tied the game at 57 with a layup at 2:41 remaining before Williams answered with a 3-pointer, then hit two free throws at 1:40. Kiah Stokes added a late basket.

The Dream fell short in the franchise's fourth Finals appearance. Williams returned to the Bay Area, where she played youth basketball, after leaving Seattle to join Golden State. The sellout crowd at Chase Center chanted "Gabby! Gabby!" through the fourth quarter, and confetti fell from the rafters at the final buzzer. The arena also holds the Warriors' 2022 championship.

Gray made two free throws with 11 seconds left before the jump ball sequence. Gray's final free throws came with 5.1 seconds remaining.
