Jacob Allen Morley is on the run after escaping from the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tennessee on Monday. Authorities are now investigating a possible connection between the fugitive and a bank robbery that occurred in Wisconsin on Tuesday.

Dane County officials reported that a gunman entered the Bank of Deerfield just before closing time. The man demanded cash and restrained two employees. He left the scene with money but no one was injured. Morley stole a Lincoln MKZ from the parking lot to make his escape. Police later found the vehicle unoccupied.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation stated it is aware of the Wisconsin incident. However, the agency has not confirmed that Morley committed the robbery. Morley escaped his facility by stealing a white 2008 Ford F-150. The truck, marked with Lindamood Planting Company, was found abandoned in Marion, Illinois, early Tuesday. Police say there is no evidence he is still in that area.

Morley is serving a life sentence for the 2022 murder of Cody Birchfield. Tyreece Miller, the U.S. marshal for the Western District of Tennessee, is leading the search. The reward for information leading to his arrest has increased to $15,000. Daniel Russell, a friend of Birchfield, described the fugitive as a monster who will do it again.

Morley is listed on the Tennessee Most Wanted List and should be considered dangerous. Anyone with information can call 1-800-TBI-FIND. If you see him, do not approach and call 911.
