The matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Tennessee Titans on Sunday will feature two teams moving in opposite directions through the 2026 season.
DraftKings Sportsbook lists Cincinnati as a 12.5-point favorite. The SportsLine Projection Model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, supports the total over 46.5 points in 67% of its runs. The model has finished 58-51 on top-rated picks since 2024.
Tennessee's defensive structure has shifted dramatically this season. The team traded star defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons to the Chicago Bears for draft capital. That move leaves a defense that is already one of the worst in the league in terms of yards allowed per game. Tennessee ranks 24th in the NFL in passing yards allowed. The team has managed to limit opponents' touchdown scoring, but it still concedes big plays.
Cincinnati's offense is built to exploit those gaps. Quarterback Joe Burrow has thrown for 15 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Wide receiver Tee Higgins is in strong form, while Ja'Marr Chase has recorded five touchdowns despite lower yardage totals. The Bengals are averaging 27.2 points per game and scored 35 in their most recent contest against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Titans' offense struggles to keep up. Tennessee ranks last in the league in yards per game and 31st in points per game. Quarterback Cam Ward leads an attack that is near the bottom of the statistical rankings. The Bengals, who acquired Dexter Lawrence before the season, rank eighth in points allowed per game entering Week 8.
The betting line reflects the disparity in team performance. The 12.5-point spread suggests Cincinnati will control the game's tempo. The 46.5-point total offers a path for bettors who expect the high-scoring Bengals to dominate while the Titans attempt to stay within striking distance. The model's lean toward the over aligns with Cincinnati's recent offensive output.
